• 120lb payload capacity, including sensors such as FLIR StarSafire series, Ultra 7000-8000 series,Wescam MX-12, Model 12DS series, Polytech and Taman sensors.
• Solid billet aluminum, bolt together construction. No welds.
• Easy to install, mount clamps directly to airframe. No fasteners added or removed from original airframe. Install or remove in minutes.

AS-350 Series Forward Chin Post Mount

Meeker Aviation, in partnership with Airfilm, Inc. is pleased to announce the successful first flight of our new AS-350 series forward chin post mount. Testing was conducted on the mounts lead customer, Texas DPS new AS-350B2. In typical fashion the aircraft completion and mount install was brilliantly performed by Texas Aviation Services. The new post mount offers customers some distinct advantages over existing designs:

• No permanent alterations to airframe, no drilling, special tools or hardware
• Mount easily removed or installed in less than 5 minutes
• Mount clamps to aircraft main structure, greatly improves rigidity over existing designs
• Typical camera field of view forward of flight step
• Compatible with Apical float steps
• Mount to be STC / PMA’d to carry all the most popular camera / sensor payloads

Flir 6-axis Passive Isolation Mounting System

November, 2003

Meeker Aviation is pleased to introduce the newest addition to their product line. The Flir 6-axis passive isolation mounting system, designed specifically for the very popular FLIR Systems/Inframetrics MK II, III, 7000, MicroSTAR, 7500, SeaFLIR II, and the new Ultra series of gimbals. The isolation/mounting collar can dramatically improve the image quality by reducing airframe vibration transferred to the Flir camera. This reduction in vibration can result in extended camera life. Significant image quality improvements have been achieved in testing on Bell 407 / 206 series, Eurocopter EC-120, AS-350/355, MBB-105 and MD Helicopters 500/520 series, as well as the Cessna line of single engine fixed wing aircraft. The collar is designed to be a direct replacement for any current configuration of gimbal mounting and can be specifically tuned for each aircraft, either fixed or rotary winged for optimum picture quality. The isolation collar is currently in production and has been delivered to both international and domestic customers. Meeker Aviation would like to thank the various airborne law enforcement agencies who contributed to the design and testing of the isolation mount.

H-60 Firehawk Nightsun / Sensor Mount

Meeker Aviation is proud to announce they have received FAA Supplemental Type Certification No:SR01403LA. This STC allows for the installation of the new Spectrolab Nightsun II onto the Eurocopter AS-350 series of helicopters. The newest STC from Meeker Aviation enables operators of the very popular American Eurocopter AS-350 series aft searchlight mount to remove their existing searchlight and install the new Nightsun II. This approval marks the first FAA STC'd installation of the Nightsun II on any helicopter, anywhere. The Nightsun II by Spectrolab is soon to become the industry standard of searchlights, now held by its predecessors the SX-5 Starburst and SX-16 Nightsun. Meeker Aviation would like to thank the Los Angeles Police Department Air and Maintenance Units, Spectrolab, Eurocopter,and the FAA Los Angeles Certification office for the support on this project.

New EuroCopter AS-350 Astar Nightsun Mount First Flight

May, 2002

Meeker Aviation in partnership with Amtech Aeronautical are pleased to introduce a new aft searchlight mount for the Eurocopter AS-350 series helicopter. The mount designed by Amtech and sold exclusively through Meeker Aviation recently completed flight testing enroute to obtaining Transport Canada STC approval. Upon receipt of Canadian approvals, FAA STC approvals will be applied for. The STC covers the complete installation of either Spectrolabs SX-5 Starburst or SX-16 Nightsun searchlights. The new Nightsun II from Spectrolab will also be approved for installation on the mount. Meeker Aviation and Amtech would like to thank the RCMP Air Wing for their support on this project, as well as Western Avionics for the systems installation and integration.

Ontario, California - Press Release

March, 2002

Spectrolabs Nightsun II made its maiden flight today aboard the MD 500E of the Ontario police air unit, the lead customer. Nightsun II, the state of the art in airborne illumination was mounted to Meeker Aviations dual side mount, which also carries the Wescam flir sensor. The installation and integration of Nightsun II was accomplished by Van Isle Avionics of California, which recently completed an extensive avionics systems upgrade to the MD 500. After successful daylight test flights, the helicopter and light were returned to standard night patrol.

Nightsun II is the successor to Spectrolabs SX-16, the industry standard in searchlight technology. Nightsun II incorporates many innovative features and upgrades that will ensure its role as the new benchmark of airborne searchlight technology.

Meeker Aviation in co-operation with Airfilm and Fox Consulting is proud to announce they have received Faa certification for the Eurocopter EC-120B Colibri side sensor mount.

(STC) No. SR01302LA.

Designed primarily to carry FLIR sensors and searchlights, the mount is capable of equipment loads of a maximum weight of 125 lbs, and a maximum diameter of 2.52 square feet front surface area. Currently in service with the Spectrolab SX-16 Nightsun installed, the side mount has proven itself operationally to have greatly reduced vibration levels and far superior fields of view than the current aft airframe located mounts. Meeker aviation would also like to thank the air units of Costa Mesa Police and San Bernardino County Sheriff for their input and support during the development of the side mount.
